Ramona Coey

Ramona joined the Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba (MCAM) as Executive Director in 2017. Since then, she has advanced the Association's Strategic Plan with a focus on industry advocacy, member value, and organizational excellence.

With more than 25 years of strategic leadership experience, Ramona has served in public education, child protection, vulnerable persons services, healthcare, housing, and construction. She is also the sole proprietor of Coey Management Services. Ramona holds an Advanced Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Manitoba, providing a strong foundation in analytical decision-making and critical thinking. She has developed a deep appreciation for the Construction Industry as a gateway to economic prosperity and community well-being.

Ramona is guided by a belief in good intent, the value of honest dialogue, and the importance of embracing and navigating difficult conversations with respect and clarity. She enjoys the political arena and is known for strengthening the industry's collective voice, fostering meaningful partnerships, and leading with adaptability and purpose.

Her greatest joy is her children and the legacy she and her late husband, Cal, instilled-perseverance, integrity, and kindness, along with the ability to approach life with humour and perspective: #dobetter.

Alyssa Jonasson

Events & Communication Program Manager

Alyssa joined MCAM in 2022, bringing with her a well-rounded background in event management, communications, and marketing. While completing her diploma in Business Administration at Red River College, she launched a wedding planning that sparked her passion for creating memorable experiences.

Following graduation, she transitioned into the non-profit sector as an Event Coordinator, successfully managing a diverse portfolio of events including galas, golf tournaments, and street festivals. When the pandemic shifted the events landscape, Alyssa expanded her expertise into social media and communications, leveraging her marketing diploma to support digital engagement and strategic content creation.

At MCAM, Alyssa's favourite event to plan is the President's Ball. Outside the office, she enjoys hot yoga, painting, and playing on an ultimate frisbee team.

Morgan Jachetta

Workforce Development Coordinator

Morgan Jachetta is a versatile professional with a diverse background across education, non-profit work, and business development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg, majoring in English with minors in French and Linguistics. Morgan has a strong interest in language and communication and is fluent in both American Sign Language (ASL) and French.

Morgan also holds a TESL Certification from the University of Winnipeg, specializing in teaching adults. With over seven years of experience, Morgan has developed a well-rounded skill set through her work across various sectors. In her previous role as Business Development and Partner Relations Specialist at the University of Winnipeg, Morgan successfully managed key local and international partnerships, developed innovative business strategies, and contributed to the growth and success of the program.

Outside of her professional life, Morgan enjoys yoga, walking her two dogs, Tucker and Ripley, cooking, and attending movies. She looks forward to applying her skills and positive energy in her role as the Workforce Development Coordinator at MCAM.

Liz Ramos

Office & Board Administrative Coordinator

Liz Ramos is the Office & Board Administrative Coordinator, bringing a strong background in management, business communications, and administrative operations. Over the course of her seven years at Urban Outfitters, Liz advanced from Sales Associate to Assistant Manager and then to Visual Merchandising Manager. In these roles, she gained hands-on experience in project management, scheduling, budgeting, and hiring, skills she now applies to support efficient office functions. She brings an organized and proactive approach to supporting teams and managing operations.

Liz holds an Administrative Assistant Certificate from RRC Polytech and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Science from the University of Manitoba. Outside of work, she enjoys knitting, crochet, ceramics, and sewing, creative passions that reflect her attention to detail.
