The Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba (MCAM) values the privacy of its' membership, industry partners and their employees. This Policy outlines the collection, use and disclosure of information provided to or collected by MCAM. It is the intention of MCAM through this Privacy Policy to reflect best practices within the Non-Profit sector.

Website Server & Security

The MCAM website server is located in Vancouver, BC at the Ntirety data center and backed up in Toronto, ON by Microsoft Azure data center. The website is equipped with a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure a secure connection between the server and an SSL-compatible browser. SSL protocol provides a safe passage for transmitting and authenticating data by encrypting the information. Data cannot be compromised when SSL is in use.

E-Commerce Transaction Information

The MCAM Website provides for optional credit card payment upon event registration or purchase of MCAM product (e.g., sponsorship commitment, networking event, educational workshops, jobsite journals) as well as optional automatic membership renewals. To achieve PCI DSS compliance requirements, MCAM does not store Sensitive Authentication Data (SAD). This information is stored by our payment service provider.

Employment Applications

You may submit Personal Information to MCAM by email when you express interest in or apply for employment. You may submit your name, email address, telephone number, resume/CV, and cover letter. MCAM will use the information as a necessity to respond to your inquiry & contact you about employment. If your application is successful, MCAM will retain the Personal Information for the duration of your employment, and beyond based on statutory retention periods. If MCAM does not employ you, we will delete your Personal Information when time limits for legal actions have lapsed.

Photo & Video Disclaimer

MCAM reserves the right to use photos and video taken at MCAM or Industry related events, in MCAM publications or other media material and platforms. This will be done without the expressed written permission of those included within the photo or video. Should the photo or video include an identifying image of a child, written approval will be obtained by the parent or legal guardian, prior to publication of the image.
