Planning, Property & Development - Permits Online Update

The Planning, Property & Development Department (PPD) has been working to streamline the permit application process to better support building and development in Winnipeg.

PPD continues to expand its Permits Online web-based customer portal, making it more convenient for customers to access and submit permit applications.

As of April 15, 2026, the following permit and application types are available through Permits Online:

• Mobile signs
• Home-based businesses
• Applications for civic address changes
• Waterway permits
• Waterway record searches
