Federal Prompt Payment Update

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has published the dispute resolution and criteria regulations for the Federal Prompt Payment for Construction Work Act. The proposed regulations would define the criteria for the designation of provinces that have enacted a reasonably similar prompt payment and adjudication regime as well as the time limits, interest, and circumstances of the adjudication process. There is a 30-day consultation period on both the Dispute Resolution and the Criteria. Click on the respective links to provide input.
